AIPMM Conference

I'll be speaking at the AIPMM (Association of International Product Marketing Managers) conference next week. My session will cover "How to get phenomenal product reviews". Here's the session overview:

"You and your team have worked long, hard hours to build an excellent product that meets the market needs and has the potential to take off. You've got first-rate marketing programs in place to generate demand, your sales team is ready to sell and you are nearing product launch. But no matter how good your product and marketing programs are, if you don't receive positive reviews your product will never take off. The reason for this is that customers believe reviews far more than they believe marketing. Great reviews drive word-of-mouth buzz, which drives sales. One of the most cost-effective and impactful things you can do to get revenue momentum going is to make sure you get phenomenal reviews.

Presented by Brian Lawley, a seasoned Product Marketing and Product Management veteran who has been responsible for over 50 glowing software and hardware reviews, this session will include the top techniques, tips and tricks for influencing product reviewers. Topics covered will include what to provide to guarantee that reviewers write what you want them to, who should be responsible for which aspects of the review program, a sample schedule for what should happen when, how to maximize the amount of coverage a publication gives you, and an outline for what to provide in a reviewer's guide.
